The most famous and most loved delicacy from the Cypriot Cusine, Halloumi Cheese is an indispensable specialty of almost all the meals in Cyprus.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS:

Halloumi  is widely consumed either as an ingredient, or as a side dish almost at every meal.It  is diced to grill, or grated too add into meatballs. Helloumi Meatballs is a remarkable specialty of Cypriot Cuisine! Alternatively , diced halloumi  is wrapped in tortillas and cooked in oven.

GRILLED HELLOUMI

INGREDIENTS:

1 helloumi cheese – cut into thick slices

PREPARATION:

Sliced helloumi can be cooked under a hot oven,grill or on charcoal until it starts to melt and gets slightly brown. Or it can alternatively be fried in hot oil or butter. Serve with a slice of lemon.
