CONFIDENT EUROCYPRIA INAUGURATES AIRPORT OFFICE
Eurocypria this week inaugurated it is flight support office at the new Larnaca airport ,aiming to offer better service to passengers.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the carrier’s chairman Eleftherios Ioannou said that the offices house on-duty engineers and ground services staff.
“Eurocypria has been reorganised , it is in an excellent operational condition and has managed to sell more than 70% of it is flights for 2010 at a good price. This shows the efficiency of all departments and i believe it is future is bright and it can move forward” he said.
Ioannou expressed satisfaction that Eurocypria and Cyprus Airways met the EASA safety standards in November last year.
Emphasising the airline’s total commitment to comply with safety standards to the greatest extent, Ioannou said that following the advice of it is consultants, SH&E, Eurocypria managed to reduce delays by 25%, while more than 20% of these are due to air traffic issues in the airspace of Cyprus and the rest and of Europa.
Between 2006 and 2009, Eurocypria carried more than one million tourists to Cyprus.
The carrier flies to 75 airports in 20 countries and prospects for the airline in 2010 were excellent.
“the opening of these offices is highly important and it will assist as much as possible our task and mission which you all know is to carry tourists to Cyprus from different destinations” Ioannou said.
