The rapidly expanding site of the Limassol Marina has undergone dramatic transformation since work began early last year.
There are striking to the town’s coastline following the reclamation of the peninsula on the west coast of the Marina, and the construction works are running at full spend, particularly on the Marina’s southeastern breakwater which is fast extending into the sea.
The Nereids Residences, the first apartments scheduled for completion on the project, are expected to be ready in 2012. Now at a three storey height, the building and architectural design has been devised to maximise the stunning sea views with internal patio doors and plenty of glass and windows to ensure the Mediterranean vistas are as expansive as possible.
The project shareholders believe the Limassol Marina will create new prospects for limassol and Cyprus generally, and in parallel to the ambitious upgrade programmes of the old historic centre of town, which are due to be completed in the next two to three years, the total transformation of Limassol will be a major boost to the local and national economy.
Estimated to coast more than euro350m, the luxury Marina resort will accommodate all types of vessels from sailing yachts to megayachts, ranging in length from 8m to 100m. It is hoped the combination of elegant `living on the sea` accommodation, boutiques, cafes, restaurants and shops will put Limassol(and Cyprus) firmly on the yachting map.
