Following the rain it promises to be almost barbecue weather for the traditional souvla that follows Lent during the holiday weekend.
Although some cloud cover may remain come Sunday the forecast is for more settled weather after a week of rain and cooler temperatures. And it should feel even warmer on bank holiday Monday.
Until then the outlook seems relatively unsettled with isolated showers and thunder in some places.
Saturday will bring the prospect of rain with the unusual sight of some light snow or sleet over the Troodos mountains.
And while Cyprus endures unseasonable temperatures elsewhere in northern Europe people are basking in sunshine.
But Sunday should provide a decent enough backdrop for family gatherings for the traditional Easter lunch even if the thermometer is not where it should be.
Cyprus should see top temperatures reach around 23c inland, 21c on the coast and touch 11c on higher ground-making it cooler than it was in March.
Winter rainfall since October 1 has reached 84% of the seasonal average with dam capacity at 62.2%.
