Seventeen prominent British, French and Greek publishing houses sponsor the 12th International Publishers Exhibition in Nicosia, probably the most educational event for foreign language teachers in Cyprus in 2011.
The seminars and the exhibition will take place on Saturday, 19 February , 9:00-12:30 and 14:00-18:00 at the Hilton Cyprus .
The exhibition will officially be inaugurated on Saturday morning at 9.00 by a representative of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the opening presentation “New curriculum for foreign languages in secondary education” will be given by Stella Conti-Theocharous, inspector of English and other languages Secondary Education. Loyal to the IPE tradition the emphasis of the event is on progress in education.
There will be a total of 12 speeches, workshops and seminars, by well-known authors and teacher trainers to inform participants of new developments in foreign language teaching. The list of speakers includes such distinguished names as Malcolm Pennington- George (British Council), Bob Obee (Cambridge ESOL Examinations), Evelyue Mazallon (CLE International)and Telis Marin (Edilingua).
During the extensive exhibition visitors have the opportunity to inspect the latest available English, French, Italian, and Spanish language books and teaching materials. Visitors can meet not only with publishers and authors but also with representatives of computer software companies and international examination boards.
