The carnival, which officially started yesterday ,wont be the messy affair it has been in previous years after the police warned that egg and toilet papers throwers will be fined if caught.
Limassol Municipality ,however understanding the need for people to let of some steam during the celebrations has reserved an area where people can go mess galore.
A large car park in the Enaerios area was yesterday the setting for an open air concert where young people were given the green light to launch and spray foam at each other.
The mess was confined to this area alone and kept the centre of the town, where the main parade takes place, clutter free.
