Local Currency Northern Cyprus
The local Currency in North Cyprus Turkish Lira and Cyprus is the Euro. We advise you to take the bulk of your money in sterling or traveller cheques as exchange rates tend to be more favourable to resort. Also a reasonable number of cash machines are located in the town centres where cash can be withdrawn in the local currency directly from your bank. Exchange facilities are available in resorts and in most hotel receptions. While credit cards are widely accepted there may be a commission charge so please do check before using! Scottish and Irish bank notes are Not accepted in North Cyprus.
