TRAVEL FAIR IN NICOSIA-CYPRUS

All Set For Travel Fair

The 13th annual travel exhibition “Taxidi 2010” opens its doors to the public in Nicosia next Friday offering a variety of travel choices and featuring the Czech Republic as this year’s honoured country.

“Through the showcase, travellers can learn all about available travel packages and specialised holiday trips aboard offered by travel agents and all about holidaying in Cypriot hotels”, said  Victor Mantovani, president of the Cyprus Travel Agents Association (ACTA)

The event  attracts between 10,000 and 12,000 visitors every year.

There will be 50 exhibitors, including foreign countries, travel organisations, airlines, hotel chains from Cyprus and aboard regional tourism boards from Greece and Cyprus and other businesses and organisations active in the travel and tourism sector.

“The exhibition over an area of 1,250 sq. M offers every travel option for Cypriot holiday makers,” he said.

He urged Cypriots to visit the three-day exhibition to find out about the various destinations and packages on offer so that they can book their holidays early to avoid missing out on the best opportunities.

Another incentive is the raffle with prizes including free airline tickets, cruises, hotel stays in Cyprus and aboard. There will also be a number of other surprises for children and adults.

The event, at the International State Fair grounds in Nicosia will be open from Friday to Sunday (April23-25).

Opening hours are 4pm to 10pm, except Sunday when the fair opens at 2,00pm.
